who we are

jennifer blanco

is an interior designer with a long track record in the real world (i..e. NOT the Berkshires!) First at Martha Stewart, then at Garnet Hill, Pottery Barn Kids and Neiman Marcus, Jenn has been an artistic and creative director in all aspects of home design. Her personal journey has taken her from NYC to Palm Beach to Alford, along with handsome hubby Sergio and (frankly gorgeous) daughter Olivia. Oh, and Addie, the spaniel.

bobby houston

is a recovering film director with an Oscar and and an Emmy tucked away on a high shelf. Bobby left showbiz for Gt Barrington in 2006, and together with partner Eric Shamie, has renovated over two dozen antique houses, most of them in the Berkshires but also in Telluride, Woodstock VT, and Hudson NY. Bobby and Eric’s work has been widely published in Dwell, Country Living and Berkshire Magazine. Scout House is his latest effort.

Kristen Alexander-King

is our fashionista from Chatham NY. Kristen’s first job was at the famed Agnès B. boutique in SoHo. Her crisp sense of style and love of fun led her into repping fashion photographers in the fast lane, before coming to the country, raising a family and other animals, and founding Scout House with Jennifer and Bobby.

david gilbert

is from Ormond Beach, FL, a former corporate attorney who left the dark side to follow his bliss as a designer. Like many Berkshire homeowners, David and his husband recently gave up New York for the good life in the country. A recent graduate of the New York School of Interior Design, David has joined Scout, both in the store and in the field, as Jennifer’s right-hand man.
